The Rat Vac is a motion-sensor rodent catching system designed to work with a compatible wet/dry (shop) vacuum: rodents are drawn to a baited entry, and when movement is detected the vacuum triggers so the animal is pulled into containment in the drum—useful along known travel paths and for wary individuals that sidestep some traditional traps. We deploy it as part of a larger IPM plan (placement, baiting, exclusion, follow-up), not as a standalone gimmick.
Roof rats, Norway rats, and house mice exploit different routes, roof lines, utility penetrations, garage doors, and overgrown perimeter. We look for droppings, gnaw marks, grease rubs, and burrows, then sequence control so you are not just killing individuals while the population rebounds. We prioritize tamper-resistant stations where regulations allow, pet-safe placements, and clear communication about what to expect week to week.
